Asking "how much do Reels cost" is like asking "how much does a car cost". One price buys a single clip shot in an hour, another buys a series someone conceives, shoots, edits and optimises for the algorithm. Let's unpack what drives the price per reel so you know what you're paying for.

What Drives the Price Per Reel
- Strategy and script - the biggest difference between a reel that gets 50 views and one that sells is the idea. It doesn't show up on set, but it decides the result.
- Number of shoot days - the smart move is to shoot several reels in one day. The cost per piece then drops sharply.
- Post-production - dynamic editing, captions, graphics, sound. With reels the edit can easily be half the work.
- On-camera talent - is it you, your team, or do you need a UGC actor? That feeds into the price.
- Music and ad-usage rights - organic posting is one thing, paid advertising is another.
Why a Single Reel Almost Never Makes Sense
Here's the most expensive mistake businesses make: they order one reel, it lands as average, and they conclude "reels don't work". Reels are a marathon, not a sprint. In my experience only a minority of videos get exceptional reach - the rest do their honest job as part of the whole.

- A monthly collaboration with strategy, scripts and regular output: quoted as a whole and gives the best price-to-result ratio.

Red Flags With Cheap Reels
- A price per piece with no strategy - you get a pretty but empty clip.
- No work on the hook and captions - most viewers watch with the sound off, a weak start kills reach.
- Recycled TikTok videos with a watermark - the algorithm spots it and punishes it.
- Nobody asks about the goal and audience.
How to Brief So You Don't Pay for Boring
Before you commission reels, get clear on three things: who you're talking to, which single action the viewer should take (follow, save, tap the bio link) and where you'll distribute the content.
